We are honored to announce that the Department of Theater at Brooklyn College and Stable Cable Lab Co., in collaboration with the Brooklyn College Foundation, has created the Nicole Haran Memorial Award to be given to an undergraduate theater major attending Brooklyn College. As most of you are aware, Nicole Haran (alum of the MFA Theater Department) was dedicated to nurturing young artists, supporting them to fulfill their creative visions and stories. To that end, this award will be given to a student that “…shall embody the spirit of collaboration, and be deeply passionate about telling stories with heart, intelligence, wit and innovation.” We will be giving this award for the first time in May of 2017. Stable Cable is ‘seeding’ the award each year with an initial amount of $500.
We would like to give as much financial support as possible to one or more deserving undergraduate theater students this year. Please consider making a donation in Nicole’s honor, knowing that you will be supporting a Brooklyn College Theater student who will carry on her spirit and her passion.
